About Taggers

Taggers combines the efforts of Robert van der Kroft and Annemarieke Halfschepel. For us, working as a team was a conscious choice. Our translations are a two-person job: what one of us translates is edited by the other. This approach not only benefits the results; it keeps us both on our toes.

Thanks to our "crew of two", larger and last minute translations are no problem, yet we are small enough to allow for personal and direct contact. Working with other firms and freelancers in our network allows us to offer translations from/into other languages as well.

Translation requires a human touch, and always will. Yet it is difficult to imagine our profession without translation memory software: it enables us to work more quickly and to be more consistent. From this technology's very start, we have studied CAT programs thoroughly, which is now paying off for us – and for our clients. We are both highly proficient with e.g. Trados or SDLX in conjunction with a wide range of file formats, including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint, as well as files for Websites and software, such as javascript and xml. And in order to test all of these file formats in their proper context, we use multiple different operating systems, including Linux, Windows, and Mac.
